TMCnet Contributor
TRENDnet has recently joined the HomePNA Alliance. With this, the number of manufacturers and service providers in the alliance reached to 46. HomePNA (News - Alert) members benefit from a support structure that helps to decrease the learning curve and can help service providers minimize their costs when deploying HomePNA products.

Over 30 million HomePNA-certified products have been shipped to telco, satellite, and cable service providers worldwide supplying critical components of their IPTV (News - Alert) services deployments. HomePNA is an ITU Standard (G.9954) and is included in the DLNA Interoperability Guidelines. The wide range of certified HomePNA products can be found on the Alliance's Member Product webpage.
Eran Gureshnik, president of HomePNA, said, "We are pleased that TRENDnet (News - Alert), an award winning global supplier of networking solutions for small to mid-sized business and home users, has joined the alliance. Their membership demonstrates the value of the HomePNA Alliance to both equipment suppliers and service providers."
Sonny Su, technology director at TRENDnet, said, "Our customers are demanding a cost effective solution for distributing entertainment and triple play data over existing coax cables and therefore are specifying HomePNA certified products. HomePNA membership gives us access to the alliance's technical support and certification resources that enable us to deliver those products."
Recently, TRENDnet has released new two megapixel PoE day/night dome internet camera, model TV-IP262PI, which captures detailed images through night vision technology. The camera will be using the Securview Pro Camera Mangement System. This software will be given complimentary with the camera and will allow users to manage up to 32 cameras.
The new camera will have stark 1280 x 1024 pixel quality imaging that will be visible for up to 40 feet. The easily concealed white housing will encase a camera that can be adjusted manually from side to side and also up and down. Power and data will travel via a single Ethernet cable using Power over Ethernet technology, thus allowing the camera's positioning more possibility, since it does not need to be close to a power supply.
